the name
simple yet complex the name came to me from listening to a radio show on a drive home from work. a dash is one of those simple little things can mean so many things. on a literary terms a dash is use to show a continuation of something, on a tomb stone it represents someones entire life and in sport it represents an all out foot race. At first i was thinking of 8mm for film like a snapshot but later i came upon 8cm seemed to be the right size dash for a headstone and one other thing...now get your mind out of the gutter (thats more like 8m elephant trunk) The average height of a nylon or synthetic feather shuttlecock is approximately 8cm, hence the name. The name as a whole is simple, different and easy to remember but there are other significances in the name that i will leave to your imagination but then again what's in a name.

8cmdash is a long a waited project. Since my asian avenue days when i was fifteen i watched my sister work till the wee hours in the mourning on her aa page. After a very sad attemp at making my own aa page i had even forgotten my password giving up all hopes of ever becoming an aa member of the week and maybe getting a free hat. (how sad) I found conviction again when Jenn sent me a url of her site http://ah-moi.tripod.com and when i first saw it i thought if she can then i can. So this site is half inspired by her.
